Lanre Adelanwa Basamta is an accomplished business leader, marketing communications specialist, and technology executive with a distinguished career spanning more than two decades.
Lanre Adelanwa Basamta has acquired extensive cognate experience driving commercial success across critical tech verticals—including Fintech, PayTech, EdTech, AgriTech, InsureTech, and enterprise software. Currently, he serves as the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Optimus AI Labs (OAi). Under his leadership, the firm rebranded and pivoted in 2023 to position itself as Africa's premier enterprise AI delivery partner. At Optimus AI Labs, Lanre spearheads a team building and deploying sophisticated AI products, customized Large Language Models (LLMs), DataOps pipelines, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks designed to optimize business operations for financial institutions and cross-continental enterprises.
Before transitioning into the AI ecosystem, Lanre built an impeccable corporate legacy by shaping the commercial strategies of four of Africa's most defining tech giants: at Interswitch Group, he served as Vice President & Group Head of Mobile Financial Services, heavily scaling mobile ecosystem transactions; at Cellulant Nigeria, he managed growth as the Country Business & Marketing Officer; at Sidmach Technologies, he directed market presence as the Head of Marketing & Communications; and at SystemSpecs, he led impactful product management and growth initiatives.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Lanre is a passionate youth development advocate and business mentor. As a published author, he celebrated the milestone anniversary of his popular book, My Crazy Attempt, which chronicles real-world strategies for young professionals navigating challenges and taking bold career leaps.
